Ara : Three persons including a woman were injured in a clash over land dispute between two groups at village Sarangpur under Ara Muffasil police station in Bhojpur district on March 24, 2019. The injured were admitted to Sadar Hospital, Sra, but the doctors there referred one of them to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH).

The injured were identified as Jainendra Dubey, his wife Sandhya Devi, his brother Bijay Shankar Dubey. A named FIR has been lodged in this connection by Ara Muffassil police station against five persons including Heera Lal Dubey, his brother Ravindra Dubey, and son Manish Dubey on statement of Bijay Shankar Dubey. Police arrested Heera Lal Dubey and Ravindra Dubey. Tension prevails in and around the village following the incident.

SHO, Ara Muffassil police station, Ravindra Ram said that Ram Ji Dubey, father of Jainendra Dubey, had purchased 5 kattha of land at village Sarangpur under Ara Mufassil police station through a property dealer though Heera Lal Dubey had captured the land and claimed that the land belonged to him leading to constant quarrel between the two families for the last six months.

On March 24, Heera Lal Dubey along with his associates reached the disputed plot and uprooted the marks on the land. When family members of Jainendra Dubey protested it, Heera Lal Dubey and his associates started indiscriminate firing injuring Jainendra Dubey, Sandhya Devi, and Bijay Shankar Dubey. Jainendra Dubey was later referred to PMCH.
