Sasaram court issues non-bailable warrant of arrest against SI, Rajpur PS

Sasaram : Additional District and Sessions Judge VII, Rohtas Civil Court, Sasaram, Gopla Jee, issued non-bailable warrant of arrest against Sub-Inspector (SI), Rajpur police station in Rohtas district, on March 8, 2019, for his failure to appear before the court despite several reminders. The court ordered the Rohtas SP to comply with its order.

Urmila Devi of village Kapasiya under Rajpur police station in Rohtas district had lodged a named FIR with Rajpur police station in connection with murder of her husband on July 3, 2012. The case is pending in the court for long for want of witness of an SI, Amit Kumar, who was Investigation Officer in the case. The court had issued notices and bailable warrant against him and when he did not turn up, the court took it seriously and issued a non- bailable warrant of arrest against him.
