Police seize 527 bottles of IMFL near Bibiganj, Bhojpur, 1 smuggler held

Ara : Police, on a tip off, seized 527 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from two luxury cars near Bibiganj on  Ara-Buxar main road under Gajrajganj Police Outpost in Bhojpur district on March 6, 2019, morning, and also arrested one of the liquor smugglers from a car Rupesh Mishra of village Hanswara  under Aurai police station in Muzzaffarpur district while liquor smuggler sitting in another car escaped from the scene.

SHO, Gajrajganj Police Outpost, Anil Kumar Dubey, said that since the IMFL was being carried through Ara-Buxar NH-84 so he  launched vehicle checking drive. Police saw two luxury cars bearing registration numbers of New Delhi and Uttar Pradesh on the road. When police intercepted the cars, the drivers tried to escape but police chased and seized the cars near Bibiganj Bazaar. During sercah, police seized 527 bottles of IMFL kept in the cars. The SHO said that and the arrested liquor smuggler was sent to jail after interrogation.
