Villagers thrash woman, son at Rohtas village

Sasaram : Villagers thrashed a woman and her son allegedly for witchcraft at village Agred Kala under Suryapura police station in Rohtas district on March 5, 2019.

A named FIR has been lodged with Suryapura police station against nine persons including Bigan Mahato, Umesh Mahato and Sanjay Mahato on the statement of Laxmina Kuer but police are yet to arrest any accused. Quoting the FIR, SHO Suryapura police station, said that the named accused thrashed and injured Lammina Kuer allegedly for using witchcraft and when her son Kamdeo Singh came to her rescue, the accused also assaulted and injured him.
