Police arrest 5 gamblers at Ara

Ara : Police, on a tip off, conducted raids at a gambling centre in Pakari locality under Nawada police station, Ara, on March 4, 2019, and arrested five gamblers though the owner of the gambling centre managed to escape.

Police also seized guessing coupons, mobile phones, calculator, cards and cash. The arrested gamblers were identified as Hari Ji and Vikas Kumar of Pakari, Chandan Kumar of Maulabagh, Monu Kumar of Gopali Chowk, and Ravi Kumar of Mahadeva.

SHO, Nawada police station in Bhojpur district, Lallan Kumar, said that Bhojpur SP Aditya Kumar had received information that a gambling centre was being run in Pakari locality under Nawada police station and directed him to conduct raids. Police conducted raids and arrested five gamblers.
