50 villagers fell ill after taking food at Rohtas village

Sasaram : At least 50 persons fell ill after taking meal at a marriage function at village Idarth Kala under Bikramganj police station in Rohtas district on March 2, 2019, night. The villagers admitted them to Sub-divisional hospital and private nursing homes.

The villagers had reportedly assembled at the house of Ram Kishun Singh of village Idarth Kala on March 2, 2019, to go to village Nuaw for the marriage of his son and had feast at his house. Two hours after taking meal, the guests started vomiting and fell ill. The villagers admitted them to the Sub-divisional hospital and private nursing homes.

Deputy Superintendent, Sub-divisional hospital, Bikrmganj, Dr Ajay Kumar said that the villagers showed symptom of food poisoning caused due to stale or rotten food. He added that all the ailing persons were discharged from the hospital after their condition improved.
