Ara : An FIR was lodged with Ara Town police station under SC/ST Act against some persons including Mithun and Sonu on March 1, 2019, evening, for assaulting a mediaperson when he had gone to Sadar Hospital, Ara, for news coverage on February 28, 2019. The injured reporter was admitted to the Sadar Hospital for treatment.
Tarkeshwar Thakur of village Chowkipur under Gajrajganj Police Outpost area works for a TV channel. He had gone to the Sadar Hospital to cover a news regarding injury to few persons in firing in Sankat Mochan locality and videographed the emergency ward of the hospital. At this, the family members of the injured flared up and thrashed and injured the reporter. The entire incident is captured in the CCTV cameras of the Sadar Hospital.
Bhojpur SP Aditya Kumar said police are conducting raids to arrest the accused and added that they would be arrested very soon.
