Pella & Garin reach final of ATP Brasil Open

Patna : World No 48 Guido Pella, 28, Argentina, and World No 92 Christian Garin, 22, Chile, will clash in the final of Brasil Open, an ATP 250 points clay court tournament, at Sao Paulo, Brazil, on March 3, 2019, night.

Third seed Pella beat Djere 7-6, 7-6 in 1 hr 49 minutes in the semi-finals on March 2. Both the players fired 5 Aces each in the match. Both of them also won 2 break points each. They also committed one double fault each. Djere had won the ATP Rio Open title on February 25, 2019.

Garin beat World No 108 Casper Ruud, 20, Norway, 6-4, 6-4 in 1hr 19 minutes in the semi-finals. Ruud fired 5 Aces in the match to just 1 by Garin. Garin, however, broke Ruud’s service thrice while the latter broke his service only once in the match. Garin also won 3 games in a row during the match.
