Patna : World No 18 in ATP rankings Roberto Bautista Agut, 30, Spain, beat World No 137 Ramkumar Ramanathan, 24, India, in the first round of Dubai Tennis Championship, an ATP World Tour 500 points tournament played on hard courts, at Dubai, UAE, on February 25, 2019, late night.

Agut beat Ramnathan in straight sets 6-4, 6-3 to sail into the second round. Ramnathan though fired 6 Aces in the match to none by Agut. But, Agut broke Ramanathan’s service thrice in the match. Agut’s winning percentage on both his first and second serve ( 76% & 73 %) was better than that of Ramanathan ( 73% & 30%). Agut won three games in a row in the match.

Agut will face World No 19 Nikoloz Basilashvili, 27, Georgia, in the Round of 16 on February 27, 2019.
