1 person killed, 4 injured as speeding truck dashes Pick-Upvan in Bhojpur

Ara : One person was killed and four others injured when a speeding truck dashed a Pick-Up van from behind near village Dularpur under Udwantangar police station on Ara-Sasaram main road on February 19, 2019, late evening.

Police brought the body over to Sadar Hospital, Ara, for post-mortem and admitted the injured there. The deceased was identified as Bijay Paswan, 35, son of Siyaram Paswan of Amaura village under Karakat police station in Rohtas district while the injured were identified as Om Prakash Ram, son of Sikandar Kumar, Dharmendra Ram, son of Jai Ram Paswan, Dinesh Paswan, son of Kameshwar Paswan, and Nandu Paswan, son of Satan Paswan.

The marriage ceremony of daughter of Haridwar Ram of village Amaura under Karakat police station in Rohtas district was to be solemnized with the son of Vivek Kumar, son of Sudama Kumar of Jagdeonagar locality under Nawada police station, Ara. SHO, Udwantnagar police station, said that 10 persons from Amaura village under Karakat police station in Rohtas district were coming to Jagdeonagar locality under Nawada police station, Ara, to attend a marriage ceremony on a Pick-Up van. When the vehicle reached near Dularpur under Udwantnagar police station, a speeding truck dashed the Pick-up van from behind killing one person on the spot and injuring four others.
