Woman, son murdered at Rohtas village, accused arrested

Sasaram : Police recovered bodies of a woman Kunti Kuer and her son Mantu Pandey from a room of a house at village Paduri under Nasariganj police station in Rohtas district on February 19, 2019, evening, and brought them over to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for post-mortem on February 20.

A named FIR has been lodged by Nasariganj police station in the regard on the statement of Poonam Pandey against her elder brother Dharmendra Pandey. Police arrested Dharmendra Pandey and are interrogating him. Property dispute is said to be the cause behind the incident.

SHO, Nasariganj police station, Samrat Singh said that Dharmendra Pandey and Mantu Pandey were involved in a long-drawn family property dispute and they often quarrelled over it. He said that Ramashish Pandey of village Paduri had died and all went there except Kunti Kuer and Mantu Pandey. At this some villagers went to them to know the reason but found their bodies lying on the floor of the room in a pool of blood. The villagers immediately informed police about it.

The SHO further said that the sister of Mantu Padney alleged said that Dharmendra Pandey had killed her mother Kunti Kuer and younger brother Mantu Pandey for property.
