Students seeking admission in VKSU BEd course in fix

Ara : Students seeking admission in the BEd course in the academic year of 2019-2021 in Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara, are in a fix as the name of the education department of the university does not figure in the list of the BEd combined entrance examination of the Nalanda Open University (NOU) as the university does not meet the NCTE guidelines for running the  course. National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE) has already banned admission in the B.Ed course of the university from the academic session 2018-2020 for not meeting its the guidelines.

Nalanda Open University uploaded the names of all the BEd colleges in Bihar except the name of the VKSU B.Ed College. The Nalanda Open University, in its notice, said that names of only those BEd Colleges have been uploaded in the website who are affiliated to the NTCE and the university for the academic year of 2019-2021 and anyone may file his /her objection, before the Nodal Officer till February 20, 2019.

Acting Vice-Chancellor, VKSU, Nand Kishor Sah said that VKSU has completed all the formalities and the NCTE has been apprised of the same and added that problems would be sorted out within a day or two. He said that the Nalanda Open University will also be apprised of it and added that admission to the B.Ed course 2019-2021 would certainly be done. He said that process for appointment of guest teachers in the B.Ed course has been completed but appointment letters were yet to be  issued. He said that appoint process would be completed this week.

On the other hand, former Senator, VKSU, Ajay Kumar Tiwari alias Munmun, questioned spending huge amount on teachers’ appointment process when the B.Ed course has not been recognized so far.
