Patna: Two bike borne armed criminals, in a daring act, made an abortive bid to loot valuables from Suhag Jewellers located on Bhootnath Road under Agamkuan police station, Patna, in broad daylight on February 15. When the shop-owner
resisted them, one of the criminals opened fire causing njury to a woman Mamta Devi. She has been admitted to NMCH.
Hearing gun-shot, locals assembled there and caught one of the fleeing criminals and after giving him dressing down handed him over to the local police. The injured criminal is undergoing treatment under police custody.
An injured woman Mamta Devi said that she resides in Bhootnath Road locality and was purchasing potatoes there. She said that two criminals reached near Suhag Jewellers on a bike and one of them entered inside and made attempt to loot valuables.
Mamta said that when the shop-owner resisted loot attempt, one of the criminals opened opened fire with bullet hitting her.
On getting information, local police reached there and are carrying out raids to arrest the other criminal, who managed to
escape.
