Patna : World No 16 in ATP rankings Daniil Medvedev, 22, Russia, World No 25 Denis Shapovalov, 19, Canada, World No 56 Damir Dzumhur, 26, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and World No 140 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, 33, France, entered the quarter-finals of ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament at Rotterdams, Netherlands, on February 14, 2019.

Medvedev, who won the singles title at ATP Sofia Open at Sofia, Bulgaria, on February 10, 2019, beat World No 26 Vernando Verdasco, 35, Spain, 6-2, 7-5 in the Round of 16 in and committed 2 double faults each in the match. Medvedev won 3 games in row in the match while Verdasco won 2.

Damir Dzumhur, who had upset World No 12 Stefanos Tsitsipas, 20, Greece, in the first round, beat World No 53, Mikhail Kukushkin, 31, Kazakhsta, 6-4, 7-6 in the Round of 16 in 1hr 42 minutes. Dzumhur won 2 break points while Kukushkin won in the match. Kukushkin served 4 Aces I n the match to 3 by Dzumhur. Dzumhur won 4 games in a row in the match to 2 by Kukushkin.
