Muzaffarpur : A joint team of Special Task Force (STF) and Siwaipatti police station on February 13, 2019, arrested suspected Naxalite Vinod Sah from Siwaipatti, Muzaffarpur, in connection with murder of former Mukhia Premchand in July 2009. Vinod Sah was named accused in the case. Premchand was shot dead by naxalites near Dera Chowk under Siwaipatti police station in Muzaffarpur district 5.30 am on July 29, 2009, in the presence of his son.

According to SSP, Muzaffarpur, Manoj Kumar, Vinod Sah was wanted in murder, kidnapping for ransom, and naxal violence cases. The SSP said that police, with the help of STF, arrested Vinod Sah. He said that the SSP Quick Response Teams (QRT) wearing bulletproof jackets and bulletproof hats (Patka) were moving in different parts of Muzaffarpur.
