New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 12, 2019, condoled the loss of lives due to a fire at Karol Bagh in Delhi.

“Deeply saddened by the loss of lives due to a fire at Karol Bagh in Delhi. I convey my condolences to the families of those who lost their lives. May the injured recover soon,” the PM said, according to a PIB release.

Seventeen people including a child were killed as a massive fire swept through a hotel in central Delhi’s Karol Bagh area on February 12, 2019, early morning. The fire broke out at Arpit Palace Hotel located on Gurudwara Road in Karol Bagh. Twenty-four fire tenders were rushed to the spot to extinguish the fire.
