Patna : World No 59 in ATP rankings Guido Pella, 28, Argentina, will clash with World No 112 Juan Ignacio Londero, Argentina, 25, in the final of Cordoba Open, an ATP World Tour 250 points tournament played on clay court, at Cordoba, Argentina, on February 11, 2019.

Pella beat World No 92 Pablo Cuevas, 33, Uruguay, in three-sets 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 in 1hr 52 minutes in the semi-finals of the tournament on February 10, 2019. Cuevas though fired 11 Aces in the match to 5 by Pella. Cuevas, however, also committed 4 double faults to 1 by Pella. Pella won 3 break points to 1 by Cuevas, who has won 6 singles title in his career. Both the players won 3 games each in a row in the match. Pella’s winning percentage on both his first and second serve ( 76% & 65 %) was better than that of Cuevas ( 68% & 54 %).

Londero beat World No 77 Federico Delbonis, 28, Argentina, 6-1, 6-0 in the semi-finals on February 10, 2019. Bothe players served 4 Aces each in the match. But, Londero won 5 break points to none by Delbonis. Londero also won 9 games in a row in the match to none by his rival. Londero said after the match that he was not expecting to reach the final of the tournament.
