Ara : Bhojpur police helped two lovebirds tie the knot on the campus of Piro police station on February 7, 2019, evening. SHO, Piro police station, Janmjai Rai said that Shiv Shankar Kumar, son of Binod Singh of village Nonaur, and Premlata of village Chakia, were in love and wanted to marry. So they escaped from their houses on February 5, 2019.

The parents of the girl lodged an FIR with Piro police station alleging their daughter had been kidnapped. Police swung into action and got information that both the lovebirds had taken shelter at a hotel. Police conducted raid and arrested both the lovebirds. But, they told police that they are mature and wanted to marry, the SHO said. Police informed their family membersĀ  and called them over to Piro police station. The family members yielded and gave their consent. Later, they married at a Shiv temple on the campus of Piro police station in the presence police personnel and their family members, the SHO added.
