Ara : Six persons including a mukhia were injured in a group clash at village Alipur under Ara Muffasil police station on February 7, 2019, afternoon. Long standing land dispute is said to be the cause behind the incident. A named FIR has been lodged with Ara Muffasil police station but no arrest has so far been made in this connection.

SHO, Ara Muffasil police station, said that Mukhia, Alipur panchayat, Upendra Singh of village Alipur under Ara Muffasil police station had a long standing land dispute with some co-villagers. On February 7, Mukhia Upendra Kumar Singh was coming to Ara Civil Court when some persons of his village started assaulting him.

Meanwhile, supporters of Mukhia arrived and both the groups got involved in a violent clash in which at least six persons including the Mukhia were injured. In the meantime, someone fired in which Dhunmun Singh of village Alipur and Raju Yadav of Zamira village received bullet injuries. All the injured were admitted to Sadar Hospital, Ara. The named accused allegedly also snatched the regular rifle of the Mukhia and carried it with them.
