Opposition alliance in Bihar not Mahagathbandhan

Patna : JD (U) national president and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on February 4, 2019, trashed the use of the term Mahagathbandhan ( Grand Alliance), which he had floated in the wake of his short-lived alliance with the RJD headed by former CM Lalu Prasad, for the existing opposition alliance in Bihar. Nitish said that the opposition alliance in Bihar was no more a Mahagathbandhan.

Replying to a query about Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s leadership in the context of the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar, Nitish asked why are you using this term. ” It was me who had coined it,”Nitish said. Rahul Gandhi kept repeating only gathbandhan at his February 3, 3029, rally at Patna.
