Sitamarhi : Police under the leadership of Sadar SDPO, Sitamarhi, K V Dhirendra, on January 31, 2019, arrested five police personnel on the charge of stealing confiscated liquor bottles from Runnisaidpur police station.
Two SAP jawans : Jitendra Singh and Nunu Singh, and 3 Homeguards Jawans: Sanjiv Kumar Pandey, Shiv Chandra Singh, and Chandeshwar Mandal, were arrested along with 209 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL). Runnisaidpur police had seized 122 cartons of liquor and a truck recently and the consignment was kept at the godown. Sitamarhi SP Sujit Kumar had received information regarding some meddling inside police station after which he entrusted the SDPO with verification work.
