Patna : England, who were all out for just 77 runs in their first innings, were 216/5 after 70 overs in their second innings in the first test against West Indies (WI) in the second session of the play on day 4 at Kensington Oval, Bridge Town, Barbados.  Opener Rory Burns fell to Roston Chase for 84 runs with 15 fours while Captain Joe Root was out for 22 and Jonny Bairstow for 30.

Opener Keaton Jennings fell to fast bowler Alzarri Joseph for 14. All-rounder Ben Stokes fell to Roston Chase for 34 with 3 fours and a six. Jos Buttler was unbeaten on 24 and Moeen Ali was yet to score. England still need 412 runs.

WI had made 289 in their first innings and declared their second innings at 415/6 with captain Jason Holder scoring an unbeaten 202 and  wicketkeeper Shane Dorich an unbeaten 116.
