Patna : Australia were 72/2 at stumps on day 1 in their first innings of the first test against Sri Lanka at The Gabba, Brisbane, Australia, on January 24, 2019, with opener Marcus Harris batting on 40 in 82 balls with 5 fours and spinner Nathan Lyon yet to score as 12 wickets fell on the first day of the match. Opener Joe Burns fell to Suranga Lakmal for 15 while Usman Khwaja fell to Dilruwan Perera for 11.
