Delhi police arrest arms smuggler from Ara

Ara : Delhi police, with the help of their Bhojpur counterpart, arrested an arms smuggler Raj Bahadur from a place near Sadar Hospital, Ara, under Town police station on January 23, 2019, evening. Police are interrogating him at Ara Town police station. Delhi police have moved the local court seeking its permission to take him to Delhi on transit remand.

Police sources said that Delhi police had arrested Sanjay Kumar of village Dhamar under Ara Muffassil police station in connection with smuggling of sophisticated arms in Delhi and he had revealed the name of Raj Bahadur before them during interrogation. On his revelation, Delhi police reached Ara on January 23, 2019, and with the help of their Bhojpur counterpart arrested Raj Bahadur from Sadar Hospital area. Delhi police had earlier arrested a youth from Udwantnagar under the same police station in same connection.
