Ara : Irate villagers set ablaze two police jeeps near Imadpur police station around 10 pm on January 22, 2019, after three persons were dashed and injured by the two vehicles. Police had to open fire in the air to disperse the unruly mob.
Rohtas police were chasing liquor smugglers from village Kaithi under Kachhawa police station in the district to arrest them around 10 pm on January 22, 2019, during which at least three persons were dashed and injured by two police jeeps. The villagers got agitated and chased the police jeeps. The villagers burnt one jeep near Tarari canal and another jeep near Imadpur police station in Bhojpur district. Police had to open fire in the air to disperse the unruly mob. Bhojpur SP Aditya Kumar along with police force rushed to the spot.
SHO, Karakat police station in Rohtas district, had received information that some smugglers were carrying liquor in a Bolero. Police chased the liquor smugglers from Kaithi village under Kachhawa police station.
