Patna : Captain Virat Kohli scored his 39th ODI century, his 24th ton while chasing a target, in the 2nd ODI against Australia at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide, on January 15, 2019. Kohli fell to fast bowler Jhye Richardson for 104 in 112 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. It was Kohli’s 5th ODI ton in Australia equalling the record of Rohit Sharma, who fell to Marcus Stoinis for 43 in 52 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes. Shikhar Dhawan scored 32 while Anbati Rayudu scored 24.

Chasing a target of 299, India were 265/4 after 46 overs with wicketkeeper M S Dhoni batting on 39 with a six and Dinesh Kartik on 7. India need 34 runs in 24 balls.
