Police arrest extortionist from Ara doctor’s clinic

Ara : Bhojpur police arrested an extortionist from the private clinic of Dr Jitendra Kumar Singh on Circuit House road under Nawada police station, Ara, on January 13, 2019, when he had come to demand rangadri from him while his aide escaped from the spot.

Dr Jitendra Kumar Singh said that two miscreants of Circuit House area under Nawada police station came to his clinic in drunken state and demanded Rs 500 from his compounder Sanjay Kumar Singh with a threat to kill him if he refused to give the amount. The miscreants returned and again came to the clinic with firearms. Dr Singh said that in the meantime, he informed police. When the miscreants came second time to his clinic, police arrested him but one of the miscreants escaped from the scene.
