Sitamarhi : Sitamarhi police on January 11, 2019, found three letters written by unidentified persons near Riga and Sitamarhi railway station premises threatening to blast railway tracks and station buildings and other collateral damage. Two letters found near Riga and one at Sitamarhi were seized by cops. Police are yet to establish who had written the three letters.
The joint team of SSB, RPF and district police searched both the station premises and tracks thoroughly after seizure of the three letters but could not recover anything. Sitamarhi SP Sujit Kumar also visited the two railway stations to inquire into the matter. Trains were halted at several stations after the three letters were recovered that caused a lot of hardships to passengers and daily commuters.
