Police recover body of missing girl from sugarcane field at Sitamarhi village

Sitamarhi : A Riga police station team in Sitamarhi district on January 9, 2019,  recovered body of a missing girl from a sugar- cane field at village Pipradhi. The villagers noticed the body first and informed police in the noon. The locals suspect that the kidnappers might have outraged the modesty of the girl before killing her as rope and liquor bottles were found in the sugarcane field.
The ten year old girl was a resident of Pipradhi village and was missing since January 4, 2019, morning. Her father, who runs a tea-stall had asked her to fetch milk from a milk shop located at the village but she did not return. He lodged a missing report with the police station. According to SHO, Riga police station, Lalan Kumar, investigation is underway to arrest the culprits.
