NSUI activists protest conduct of Sadar Hospital, Ara, doctoes

Ara : Hundreds of activist of the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) led by Sridhar Tiwari, Bhojpur district president, took out a procession from Shaheed Bhawan on January 8, 2019, that passed through the main thoroughfares of Ara town and culminated near Parmar Complex where they burnt the effigy of the Health Minister, Bihar, Mangal Pandey, to protest casual approach of the doctors at Sadar Hospital, Ara. They also raised slogans against Bihar government and demanded resignation of the Health Minister for his failure to streamline medicare system in the state.

Addressing the gathering, Sridhar Tiwari said that due to negligence of doctors of the Sadar Hospital, a child died in the womb due to delay in operation on January 5, 2019, of the woman concerned but no action has so far been made in connection. He criticized CM Nitish Kumar and Health Minister Mangal Pandey saying that they had no control over the doctors. He also said that even the hospital management is unable to tame such doctors.
