Police recover body of trader from pond at Bhojpur village

Ara : Police recovered nude body of Md Ali, 27, son of late Mahmood Alam, from a pond at village Chakia under Ara Muffasil police station on January 7, 2019, late evening, and brought it over to the Sadar Hospital, Aa, for post-mortem. An FIR has been lodged with Ara Muffasil police station in Bhojpur district.

SHO, Ara Muffassil police station, said that  grocery shop owner Md Ali of Chakia village had gone to attend a marriage ceremony on January 7 evening and but he did not return home till late night. His family members searched for him everywhere and when they failed to locate him, they informed police. Later, police recovered the body from a pond of the village. The SHO said that the body had no cloth and also had some bruises.

Md Arman Hussain, brother of the deceased, said that Md Ali always carried heavy amount and a costly mobile with him but nothing was found near his body. He stated that Md Ali had called on mobile at about 3.30 am on January 7 and asked him to come over to the marriage venue to take him back home. But, when Md Arman went there, Md Ali was not found and all efforts to contact him went in vain. He suspected that someone threw his body after killing him as no one could be drown in the knee deep water.
