Ara : Family members and acquaintances staged demonstration in front of the office of the Civil Surgeon on the campus of Sadar Hospital, Ara, on December 29, 2018, after two neonates died immediately after delivery.
Soni Singh, wife of Vikas Kumar Singh of village Dhandiha under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur district, was admitted to the Sadar Hospital for delivery. Likewise, Asha Devi, wife of Manish Kumar of Anand Nagar under Ara Town police station, too was admitted to the Sadar Hospital for delivery. At the hospital, the doctors examined both the pregnant women and found everything normal. On December 29, 2018, both the women delivered male child but immediately both the neonats died. The family members brought them to the SNCU on the campus of the Sadar Hospital but the doctors said that both of them were brought dead. Hearing this, the family members and acquaintances went on rampage and staged demonstration alleging the neonates died for want of proper care and treatment.
Superintendent, Ara Sadar Hospital, Dr Satish Kumar Sinha said that the neonates were brought to the SNCU dead and so the doctors there were helpless.
