Patna : Pakistan, who had scored 181 in their first innings, were all out for 190 runs on day 2 in their second innings in the first test against South Africa at SuperSport Park, Centurion, South Africa, on December 27, 2018, with Shan Masood scoring 65 in 120 balls with 7 fours and a six and opener Imam-ul-Haq scoring 57 in 96 balls with 8 fours and a six. Like day 1, fifteen wickets fell on day 2 as well.

Pakistan captain & wicketkeeper Sarfraz Ahmed was out for a duck in the second innings too. Azhar Ali was out for zero while Babar Azam, who had scored 71 in the first innings, scored 6. Asad Shafiq too was out for 6. Pakistan had won the toss and elected to bat.

For South Africa, fast bowler Duanne Olivier took 5/59 in 15 overs while Kagiso Rabada took 3/47 in 15 overs. Dale Styen took 2/34 in 15 overs. Olivier had taken 6/37 in Pakistan’s first innings. Olivier has taken 11 wickets in this match.

Earlier, resuming at their overnight score of 127/5, South Africa were all out for 223 in their first innings on day 2 with Temba Bavuma scoring 53 and wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock scoring 45. Dale Styen scored 23 while Kagiso Rabada made 19. Keshav Maharaj scored 6. For Pakistan, Mohammad Amir took 4/62 while Shaheen Afridi took 4/64. Another fast bowler Hasan Ali took 2/70.

Like day 1, fifteen wickets fell on day 2 too. Pakistan lead by only 148 runs. South Africa have to score 149 runs to win the match with three days’ play still left.
