FIR lodged against Lahtan Panchayat Ward Member

Ara : On the direction of Bhojpur DM Sanjeev Kumar, Panchayati Raj Officer Jha Keshaw Shivrudra on December 19, 2018, lodged a named FIR against the Panchayat Member Ward No 1, Lahthan Panchayat, Mamta Devi, and Secretary, Managing Committee, Ward No 1, Hari Krishna Ram, in connection with alleged embezzlement of fund meant for potable water and drains under the seven resolve of the Chief Minister. SHO Agiaw Bazaar police station confirmed institution of FIR.

Sub-Divisional Public Grievances Redressal Officer Shailesh Chaudhary had inquired into the execution of government sponsored schemes and detected embezzlement of Rs 10 lakh that was drawn for the potable water to each and every house under Ward No 1 of Lahthan Panchayat in Bhojpur district and also other irregularities in the project. He had submitted his report to the Bhojpur DM. The DM took it seriously and directed the Piro Block Development Officer (BDO) to lodge an FIR but the BDO asked the District Panchayat Raj Officer to lodge the FIR.
