Villagers smash illicit distilleries at Bagaha village

Bagaha: Villagers including women led by Mukhiya of Jaunapur-Tarawalia panchayat Rambilash Singh and supported by Harikishan Kewat, Member, District Board, West Champaran, destroyed illicit distilleries at village Farsahani under the panchayat on December 9, 2018, as the local police had failed to take action against them. Farsahani falls under Laukaria police station in Bagaha police district.

The villagers destroyed over 200 litres of countrymade liquor and told those running these distilleries that if they did not stop their business they would be handed over to the Prohibition & Excise Department for necessary action.
