Ara : Additional District and Sessions Judge IV, Ara, R K Singh, on December 5, 2018, sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment Dharmendra Singh of  village Badaka Lauhar under Barhara police station in Bhojpur district in Kanhaiya Singh murder case. The court also slapped a fine of Rs 85,000 on him.

APP Dadan Prasad Srivastava said that Dharmendra Singh of  village Badaka Lauhar under Barhara police station had shot dead Kanhaiya Singh of the same village and also shot at and injured Gajendra Singh on January 25, 2014.

After hearing both the parties, ADJ R K Singh awarded rigorous life imprisonment to Dharmendra Singh and slapped a fine of Rs 50,000 under section 302 of IPC, rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 25,000 under section 307 of IPC, and three years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000 under 27 Arms Act. All the three punishment will run simultaneously.
