Patna : Three-time former champion and World No 9 in Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings Saina Nehwal, 28, India, entered the final of Syed Modi International Badminton Championship, an HSBC BWF World Tour Super 300 tournament, at Lucknow, India, on November 24, 2018. She will clash with World No 27 Han Yue, 19, China, in the final on November 25, 2018.

Saina beat World No 62 Ruselli Hartawan, 20, Indonesia, in a three-game thriller 12-21, 21-7, 21-6 in the semi-finals in 46 minutes on November 24. Saina won 54 rallies in the match to 34 by Hartawan. She won 8 consecutive point during the match to 3 by her Indonesian rival.

Han Yue beat 2012 London Olympic champion and World No 41 Li Xuerui, 27, China, in three-games 21-15, 19-21, 21-9 in the semi-finals in 50 minutes. Han Yue won 61 rallies in the match to 45 by Xuerui. She won 7 consecutive point during the match to 4 by her rival.
