Bettiah : A police team led by ASP (Operations) Sheokumar Rao, on a tip off, conducted raid at Dharampur under Bettiah Sub -Division in West Champaran district on November 22, 2018, late night, and arrested five criminals when they were planning some crime. Police seized two countrymade guns, four live rounds, and 6 cellphones from their possession.
The arrested criminals were identified as Asfaqu Alam, Rizwan Alam, Saheb Alam, Tuntun Kumar, and Sabullah Mian. The ASP said that the criminals confessed having looted Rs 73,000 cash from an employee of a private finance company of which Rs 10,000 was recovered by police.
