Woman killed, over 2 dozen persons injured as bus rams truck in Bagaha

Bagaha : Pasapati Devi, 60, wife of Motilal Soni of Jamadar tola, was killed on the spot 0n November23, 2018, morning, when a bus ‘Sivadani’ carrying over 70 passengers to Bettiah from Bagaha rammed a truck parked on the side of NH 727 near village Hamira under Chautarawa police station in Bagaha police district due to dense fog. Over two dozen passengers sustained injuries and were referred to Lauria Referral Hospital and MJK district hospital, Bettiah, headquarters of West Champaran district.

Chautarawa police had to face the ire of the locals for their delayed arrival at the place of occurrence The traffic on the road resumed one hour after the accident. SDM, Bagaha, Ghanshyam Meena, and SDPO Sanjiv Kumar also reached the place. Cops from Bathwaria, Bhairoganj, Bagaha, Dhanha, and River police stations also reached there soon.
