Patna : The second T20I between India and Australia at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne, Australia, on November 23, 2018, was reduced to 19 overs per side due to rain. Under D/L Method, India has been set a target of 137 runs. Australia had scored 132/7 after 19 overs when play was stopped due to rain.

Ben McDermott, 23, son of former Australian fast bowler Craig McDermott, remained unbeaten on 32 while Andrew Tye was batting on 12. Captain and opener Aaron Finch was out on the first ball of the match bowled by Bhuvaneshwar Kumar. For India, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and K Khaleel Ahmad took two wickets each while Kuldeep Yadav, Krunal Pandya, and Jasprit Bumrah, took one wicket each.
