Patna : World No 52, Parupalli Kashyap, 32, India, defeated World No 40 Hsu Jen Hao, 27, Taiwan, in the qualifying round 2 of Hong Kong Open 2018, a BWF World Tour Super 500 event, on November 13, 2018. Kashyap will play World No 7 Anthony Sinisuka Jinting, Indonesia, in the first round on November 14, 2018.
Kashyap beat World No 40 Hsu Jen Hao, 27, Taiwan, in a tough three-game contest 21-7, 12-21, 21-18 in 63 minutes. Kashyap won 54 rallies in the match to 46 by Hao. He also won 11 consecutive points compared to 6 by Hao. Kashyap now leads Hao 5-1 head to head.
