Patna : World No 4 in Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings Chen Yufei, 20, China, beat 2017 World Champion Nozomi Okuhara, 23, Japan, in the final to win the women’s singles title at Fuzhou China Open 2018, a BWF World Tour Super 750 event, at Fuzhou, China, on November 11, 2018.
Yufei, the 4th seed, beat Okuhara, the 7th seed, 21-10, 21-16 in 43 minutes in the final at Fuzhou to lift the women’s singles title on November 11. Yufei won 42 rallies in the match to 26 by Okuhara. She won 4 consecutive points in the match to 3 by her rival. Okuhara though still leads Yufei 3-1 head to head.
