CM Nitish Kumar inspects different ghats of Patna

Patna : Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi along with some ministers inspected different ghats in Patna starting from Nasriganj, Danapur, to Kangan ghat in Patna City in view of the coming Chhath festival and issued necessary directions to the officials. The CM inspected the ghats for about three hours.

The CM had meeting with officers of departments concerned. He issued directions to the officials for cleaning of ghats, transportation and barricading. He also directed police officials to maintain strict patrolling and ensure safety of the devotees reaching different ghats in the state capital during the festival

It may be mentioned here that few years ago, a few persons had died while several others had sustained injuries in a stampede  at a ghat in the state capital.
