Bagaha : A police team headed Inspector, Ramnagar Circle, Mohammad Islam, on October 28, 2018, arrested five criminals in a road robbery case lodged with Semana police station on June 6, 2018, from different places.

SP, Bagaha police district, Arbind Kumar Gupta, while talking to mediapersons on October 29, 2018, said that some armed criminals had looted Rs.1,42,290 cash and two mobile phones from Dipendra Giri, son of Mahanth Giri, Manager of private finance company of Bagaha, who was riding a bike, and pillion rider Santosh Kumar, on Done canal under Semana police station after intercepting them.

A special police team was constituted under SDPO, Ramnagar, Randhir Kumar Singh. The team succeeded in arresting five criminals within 4 month, the SP. He said and added that eight criminals were involved in the loot of which five : Chandan Kumar, Shahid Akhtar, Dilip Kumar, all belonging to areas falling under Mufassil Police station, Bettiah, Manoj Kumar and  Khurshid Alam, both residents of Chiutaha bazzar under Chiutaha Police Outpost, were arrested on October 28.

A regular pistol, two live cartridges and a motorbike were seized from the possession of Chandan Kumar while two mobile phones were seized  from the possessions of Shahid Akhtar and Manoj Kumar, the SP said. One Brajesh Kumar, a resident of Ward N0. 6 of Bettiah town, who was  wanted in the case is in Varanasi jail in UP, while police were searching for the rest two criminals, the SP added.
