Sitamarhi : A Sub-Study centre of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is being set up in Sitamarhi District Jail. The jail inmates and staff can now benefit from the distance mode of education facilities here, said Regional Director (RD), Darbhanga Region, IGNOU, Rajiv Kumar, on October 6, 2018.
RD Rajiv Kumar was addressing the induction meeting of newly admitted July 2018 session students at SRK Goenka College, IGNOU Study Centre, at Sitamarhi. Principal, SRK Goenka College, Sitamarhi, Prof Nagendra Prasad Singh, Prof. K N Singh, Prof Hassan Mustafa, Prof Ganeshi Rai, Prof. Rana Tej Pratap Singh, Prof. YP Singh, Prof Ram Sewak Singh, Prof Shyam Kishore Singh,and Prof. R N Sinha were prominent among those addressing the induction meeting.
