Ara : Hundreds of villagers blocked Ara-Mohania NH-30 since morning near village Isadhi under Jagdishpur police station in Bhojpur district on September 27, 2018, in protest against erratic power supply for the last one month. They burnt tyres on road and paralysed movement of vehicles raising slogans against the officials of the South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (SBPDCL) demanding action against them.

Villagers Ram Ji Singh and others said that they were spending sleepless nights in this summer for the last one month due to erratic power supply but the officials of the SBPDCL have remained indifferent despite several complaints. They said that officials never bother to rectify the problem and restore regular power supply.

Jagdishpur police reached the spot to remove blockage but they had to retreat as the protestors said the blockade would not be lifted till the officials of the SBPDCL reached there.
