Durgesh Sharma shifted to Ara Jail from Beur Central Jail

Ara : Notorious criminal Durgesh Sharma was shifted to Ara jail from Beur Central Jail, Patna, on September 19, 2018, in connection with loot of Rs 26 lakh from the Oriental Bank of Commerce, Ara Branch, in 2012, under tight security coverage. Durgesh Sharma is named accused in a number of cases of loot and murder in Patna and Bhojpur districts.

Jail Superintendent, Ara, Niranjan Pandit said that Durgesh Sharma was made named accused in the loot of Rs 26 lakh Ara branch of the Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC), Hospita Road, in 2012, and after bank robbery he had escaped to New Delhi.
