Ara : Bhojpur police heaved a sigh of relief after Doman Yadav of Shivganj locality and Vishwajeet Paswan of Sri Tola under Town police station, Ara, both aides of a notorious criminal Dhan Ji Yadav, surrendered before an Ara court on September 15, 2018
Police had pasted Proclamation notices (Ishtehars) on the walls of the houses of Dhan Ji Yadav, Vishwajeet Paswan, Doman Yadav, and Mantu Kahar on September 13, 2018, in connection with murder of Kundan Singh, son former Bhojpur District general secretary, Congress, Amarnath Singh.
Bhojpur SP Awakash Kumar said that some armed miscreants had shot at motorcycle borne Kundan Kumar and his friend Raushan Kumar alias Chiku near Kulharia High School on Patna-Ara main road under Koelwar police station on August 11, 2018, when they were coming from Patna.
Kundan Kuamr succumbed to his injuries on way to Sadar Hospital, Ara, while Raushan Kumar was admitted there but the doctors had referred him to Patna Medical College and Hospital in precarious condition. The SP said that on August 7, 2018, they had shot at and injured a tea-stall owner and his friend and both were admitted to PMCH. The incident was, the SP said, an outcome of a gang war. He said that the police would take them on remand for interrogation.
