Muzaffarpur : Police on September 11, 2018, evening, arrested two members of an inter-district gang of criminals involved in looting vehicles near Jhapaha Overbridge on NH77 in Muzaffarpur district in North Bihar. SHO, Ahiyapur police station, Manoj Kumar, said that the two criminals, during interrogation, had admitted their involvement in the loot of several vehicles.
The arrested criminals were identified as Mohammad Shamsad Alam alias Raja of village Madhopur Susta under Maniari police station in Muzaffarpur district and Luccky Sharma alias Pravin Sharma of village Dudha Chaturi under Majhaulia police station in West Champaran district in North Bihar. Police also seized a countrymade pistol and some live cartridges from their possession.
Three cases were lodged against them with Pipra police station and two with Kesaria police station in East Champaran district in connection with vehicle loot, said SHO Manoj Kumar who led the police team which conducted raid near Jhapaha Overbridge.
