FIR lodged against former CO, Bihia, Bhojpur

Ara : On the direction of Bhojpur DM Sanjeev Kumar, the ADM cum District Disaster Management Officer on August 29, 2018, lodged a named FIR with Bihia police station against a former Circle Officer (CO), Bihia, Manoj Kumar, and the Ward Member, Ranisagar, Ashok Kumar, in connection with alleged irregularities in the distribution of flood relief fund.

The ADM said that fund meant for the flood relief had to be distributed among the flood affected persons on the recommendation of a committee formed for the purpose but the then CO, Bihia, Manoj Kumar, on the recommendation of Ward Member, Ranisagar, Ashok Kumar, gave money to 14 persons illegally but later all the 14 persons had returned the money. When the matter came to light, an inquiry was conducted and after submission of inquiry report, the Bhojpur DM ordered for lodging an FIR in this connection.
